Information

I have been playing the flute and piano for over 25 years and during this time my enthusiasm has never ceased. I have a real love of Music and am keen to share my enthusiasm and commitment with as many people as possible.

I was fortunate enough to study with some wonderful musicians at Music College including the Flautist Keith Bragg and the composer Allan Bullard, and since leaving I have had an exciting and varied career. I have graduated as a performer, Secondary school Music Teacher and a Private instrumental teacher and have taught in a variety of schools and colleges.

I have also played in a number of ensembles and orchestras and perform regularly in and around the Buckinghamshire area.
I now divide my time between teaching and performing and also direct a flute ensemble called 'Flauto' and a recorder consort called 'Sopranino'. I also play in a variety of small chamber music groups inlcuding the Enigma Trio and Trio di Flauto..

I present regular concerts for my students and ensembles and take part in a wide range of local performances.

I have also written a series of musical stories called 'The Adventures of Sammy the Super Flute' which are a fun way to get your child involved in playing music. These are regularly used in my music lessons for children, and in my Saturday flute and recorder group 'Tuttiflutes'. They are also published by Flutewise, a brilliant organisation for young flute players.

I am a member of the incorporated society of musicians and have completed the NSPCC child protection awareness in music course.
