This evening’s Music shall demonstrate a fraction of the vast repertoire that was written for the recorder during the Renaissance and Baroque period and shall be performed on a selection of Instruments of the time.The recorder was a very beloved instrument in the Renaissance and Baroque eras with King Henry VIII owning, at the end of his life, no less than 78 recorders.   There are many marvellous recorder pieces such as concertos by Antonio Vivaldi and Cantatas with recorder by Bach.
